The Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs today announced increases in fees for some permanent resident visa applications lodged in Australia.
Fees in two on-shore residence classes rise from $600 to $1 500 per application from midnight tonight, with limited exemptions.
The increases apply to applications in the family-residence, and change-in-circumstances residence visa class.
The rise in fees is in line with the Government’s policy of recovering the cost of providing services, and brings them into line with other fees for permanent residence applications which rose on 1 October 1996.
Details of the increases are available at departmental offices.
